What happens next.

Once we receive your enquiry, we will review the information you provide and get back to you with next steps.

For most projects, this begins with a free initial Feasibility Review, which provides early guidance on:

  • Design potential and layout considerations
  • Planning strategy and approval requirements
  • Indicative project timescales
  • Likely scope of architectural services

This helps you decide how and when to proceed, before confirming an appointment.

Not sure where to start with your renovation or extension?

Read this before you meet an architect, speak to a builder or spend money on drawings. This free, architect-prepared guide walks you through the 15 essential questions every homeowner should ask before starting a project.

Whether you’re planning a modest rear extension or major alterations to a listed home, it will help you avoid expensive mistakes and give you clarity on what’s possible for your property.

“Should we renovate, extend… or walk away?”

15 Questions every London homeowner must ask before starting a project to include homes in Conservation Areas and Listed Buildings. Planning approvals. Conservation areas. Timelines and costs. Design team structure. Layout options. Suitable sustainability solutions. When to press ahead and when to walk away.

What to include in your enquiry.

To allow us to give you meaningful initial advice, it’s helpful if you can include:

  • The property address

  • A brief description of the works you are considering

  • Any existing drawings or photographs (if available)

  • An approximate budget range

  • Any timescales you have in mind

If you’re still at an early stage, don’t worry, we regularly assist clients who are just starting to explore their options.

A Note on Budgets and Scope.

We aim to work with clients who are looking for considered design, clear planning strategy, and professional project guidance.

Providing an approximate budget range at enquiry stage helps us confirm whether we are the right fit and ensures that any advice we provide is relevant to your project.

Listed Buildings and planning-sensitive projects.

We have extensive experience with planning-sensitive sites, including listed buildings and conservation areas.

If your property is listed or subject to specific planning constraints, please let us know. Early consideration of these factors is essential to a proper assessment of your requirements.

More in-depth early advice.

If you would prefer detailed, site-specific advice at an early stage, we also offer a 2-hour consultation (£250 + VAT).

This can include a site visit, discussion of options, and initial sketch ideas. The consultation fee can be deducted from the design and planning stage fee should you proceed with an appointment.

Our approach.

We work with a limited number of projects at any one time to ensure a high level of involvement throughout each stage of the process.

Our aim is to provide clear, honest advice and guide you through the process with confidence from first conversation to completion on site.
